Skytran is an unbelievably ambitious project to design and realise the next generation of commuter transport. Utilising radical new Magnetic Levitation technology, Skytran envisages autonomous, zero-emission vehicles arrowing above congested streets. Originally funded as a research project by the U.S Department of Transport the project is now jointly undertaken with Israel Aerospace Industries, using technology developed at the NASA Ames Research Center in California.
